Hello
I am seeking a live-in companion for my 19-year old son, who is extremely high-functioning Asperger's and who will be moving into an apartment within the next 30-90 days. He is very articulate, insightful and friendly and attends school full time M-F. He will be beginning transitional/vocational classes in the next year and is expected to graduate in 2020. For the most part he needs a companion/room mate to ensure he gets out of the house on time for school/appts, takes medications, gets groceries and runs necessary errands as needed and gets out of the house for leisure/recreational activities. The apartment location is not confirmed yet but will be in Fairfax County and likely between the Fair Oaks and McLean/Falls Church areas.
Compensation: This position offers completely free rent and utilities in exchange for being available at key times of the day - and in the apartment during overnight hours - to ensure the general health and well-being of my son. i.e. make sure he leaves and returns home as expected, tends to household chores, eating etc. He does not require any support with Activities of Daily Living and the majority of support is considered 'companion' based. The schedule allows ample time for the live-in companion to be available for full time employment outside of the home. An hourly rate will be paid for a portion of the hours worked that exceed any non rent/utility related 'in kind' compensation. The only housing-related expenses incurred by the live in companion will be their own groceries/personal needs.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate might be a part-time student studying Psychology, Social Work, Special Education or a related field or be a young professional [preferably familiar with Asperger's/Developmental Delays] and live an alcohol and smoke-free lifestyle. Maturity, good judgement and flexibility are critical and candidate must not have a criminal record [must pass background check]. A valid driver's license and vehicle is nice but not critical as it would be helpful if companion could provide transportation to some appts. and running local errands [groceries, etc.] Any driving support provided will be reimbursed at Federal mileage reimbursement rate of .53/mile.
If you or someone you know may be interested in getting more information, please email me at coleenhs@gmail.com.

Someone with attention to detail is needed. We have a dog - heads up in case you have allergies! I'll pay $15/hr, and am a good tipper for good work. You can contact me at: chrissie9@verizon.net. Hello, (Filing, Information Search, Computer Organization, Home Office Set-Up, Other) I need someone to assist me in searching through documents to find specific information and create an online file system. In addition, help is needed in overall organization of a home office. Also, assistance in going through boxes and organizing is needed elsewhere in the home. Mornings are better as I am a caregiver for my husband, however, I have a health aide for my husband in the a.m., so we could work together at that time. I can be flexible with class schedules. This project would take several visits to complete. I need to get started asap. Hourly pay is negotiable, however, I am willing to pay a strong rate to obtain a reliable and capable person.
I live in the general area of the Marymount campus in the Waycroft-Woodlawn neighborhood (Just pas Lee Highway off of Glebe Road). I could arrange a pick-up, if needed, but I imagine a public bus ride is available.
Please respond if you are interested; jmkane87@aol.com. Thank you.

We are looking for a mother's helper in Arlington/Nova (between Clarendon and Virginia Square). We are a family of 4, and need some help with regular housekeeping tasks such as: laundry & folding, light cleaning/straightening up (we have regular cleaners so no heavy duty cleaning required), running errands (e.g. picking up/ unpacking groceries), meal prep (chopping/peeling; cooking would be a plus but not required), occasionally picking up kids from school or driving grandparents to medical appointments, etc. We're looking for a mother's helper/housekeeper more so than a nanny, since most of the time would be spent on the light housekeeping duties described rather than child care. However, occasional date night babysitting could be an option if interested (but not required). We're flexible regarding days/hours, but 2-3 times a week would be ideal (10-20 hours/week, flexible). If interested, please reply to andrelusa@gmail.com with your info & desired pay rate. Thank you! Andreea

My company, Duet Doctor (www.duetdoctor.com) is an online retailer. I need help calling brands from whom I want to purchase products in a wholesale quantity.
You will be compensated with an hourly wage and will receive sizeable bonuses for accounts acquired.
This job requires a real self-starter who has an entrepreneurial spirit. You have to be comfortable talking on the phone and negotiating. You will receive lots of training. This job is excellent for someone interested in business.
Majority of the work must be done during daytime hours (8am-5pm) and can be done from home, but we will need to meet-up at least once per week (during an evening or weekend) for training and to discuss progress. I live 2.4 miles / 7 minutes from Marymount in the Woodmont neighborhood of Arlington.

We are looking for a MOTHER’S HELPER in Arlington (walking distance from Clarendon metro). We have two children (6 and 4) and could really use a hand with light housekeeping (think folding laundry, tidying up, vacuuming). We would also love a kitchen hand— this could mean grocery shopping at the Trader Joe’s nearby, washing and chopping stuff and downright following recipes on your own— we’re open to your preference. If you are high-energy, motivated and kind (and don't love to cook) we want you; don’t let the cooking dissuade you! While this is not a babysitting position, we are open to BABYSITTING a few nights a week if you’d like to make a little extra. Truly, we only go out if a sitter stays with the kids so we would benefit immensely. We’re flexible about hours and days; our ideal is 10-25 hours per week, 4pm-? and we can mix and match to suit your schedule and social life (you ought to make the most of things before you’re in our situation, right?) If you’re interested and all-around terrific — ahem, other people’s opinion, not your own! — please send an email to: tatiana.nikonanthology@gmail.com
with your info, pay range and schedule-wishlist.
