I am looking for a babysitter with a car, from 2:45-5 pm weekdays, to pick up my first-grade son in Bethesda, tutor him in reading and play with him until 5 pm when I can pick him up at the Marymount campus or mutually agreed upon location in Arlington. We've had a lot of good luck hiring college sitters in the area, my son has loved them all! This semester, I would like the babysitter to work on an ad hoc basis - next semester I'll be hiring someone (ideally the same person doing ad hoc this semester) to do this 2-3 weekdays a week. Car, driver's license, excellent driving record, car insurance, babysitting experience with young kids and excellent references required. Strong preference to applicants with elementary education training or experience. Competitive salary. If you're interested, please email me at mcintyrebetsy@gmail.com.

I am looking for someone to pick up my three children ages 6,9, and 10 at Claremont Immersion school in Arlington around 2:40. They are very easy well adjusted, independant children. Alternately they can be picked up at the bustop near Ballston Commons mall @ 3:15. We live next door to Central Library. If you would like to just pick up children and drop off at my home that is fine, or if you would like more hours up to 5 hours a day, I can do that as well. I am very flexible and would pay for gas and an hourly wage. If you prefer more hours, I would love to have someone feed them a quick snack, get them started on homework, or drive them to practice. Must be a reliable responsible driver, good with kids, able to help with light homework. If interested please email Cristina at Nenehiwa22@yahoo.com

I am looking for a student to watch my two children from 3-7p, Monday through Wednesday, $20 per hour. (If the student has additional time, 2-7p, on Wednesday would be great too!) I have a 7 year old who is very easy, and a 3 year old who is more challenging and high energy. The student needs to have a driver's license, and a car, as my son needs to be picked up daily at preschool. My daughter will need to be picked up at the bus stop, which is a block from our home in Westover (near the Virginia Hospital Center). Other than that my daughter has two activities per week, and needs transportation. My son is a little delayed in speech, so the person needs to be patient and an interest in speech therapy and/or occupational therapy is a plus. Although challenging, he is a loving kid and usually behaves for non-parents! Our nanny just told us that she can no longer watch our kids because her mother is sick, so we need someone ASAP. If you are interested, please call me at (860) 428-0250.

Hi! We are looking for an occasional week night evening babysitter for our 7 year-old daughter and 5 year-old son. We live about 2 minutes from the Marymount campus, and the typical hours would be from approximately 6 pm to 9/10 pm, depending on the event. It would be an added bonus if this individual could also babysit on weekend nights from time to time.
We live about 2 minutes from Marymount's campus, and we would prefer someone with their own transportation. Our kids are very easy and fun, and are usually asleep by 7:30 and 8 pm. The job would entail possibly finishing up dinner/dessert, giving baths/getting kids ready for bed, and bedtime reading.
Please contact me directly at jenbrandely@gmail.com if you may be interested!
Thank you!!

Mommy's helper needed. Very flexible hours $15 per hour minimum starting pay. Moving back in to our newly renovated (Bluemont Park) home and would love someone to work with me sorting and purging our kids toys, organizing my crafts and art materials, vintage collections, etc.. kind of fun stuff, actually. Daytime hours preferable since my son will be in school but I am very flexible since I am a stay at home Mom. My ideal fit for this job would be someone trustworthy, reliable, good with kids (I have a nine year old), and good at seeing tasks through to the end. A teaching, psychology or child development student would be perfect. The job would be awesome for someone creative, fun loving, friendly who enjoys organizing tasks and kids. If it works out well, the job could evolve into flexible part time work as a babysitter or helper with assorted creative projects I want to see through.
Please email Stephanie at shertzog@comcast.net. Cheers!

We are looking for a sitter for our sweet and rule following 7 year old daughter on Wednesday nights for date nights. Job would usually start around 5:30 pm and end around 7:30 or 8pm, but if you are flexible and would like the hours, it could also start end around 10pm and/or start earlier at 4pm at the kiddo's bus stop!
The time would probably consist of about 10 minutes of homework supervision, playing, assembling dinner from the fridge, sending the kiddo off to brush her teeth etc., reading a chapter or two, and lights out by 8. If you've agreed to stay later than 8, feel free to do homework, raid the fridge, watch Netflix, etc. Our daughter usually worships her babysitters and there are no discipline issues. She will love you even more if you like to bake or play pretend!
We live about a mile from Marymount, which is walkable, but it would be helpful if you had a car since we wouldn't want you walking this in the dark.
Pay is $18/hour, for ~2-4 hours every week, occasionally up to 6. Please email me at onlyconnect@gmail.com if you are interested!

We are seeking an engaged & caring after school sitter with a safe vehicle for our 10-year-old daughter who plays soccer, is in chorus & loves cooking, climbing trees, travel & dancing. Hours are 3:30 to 6:30 or 7 Monday through Friday - earlier on Fridays is possible. We adore our current sitter, but she is leaving the area for grad school.
Responsibilities include meeting her at the bus at 3:45 p.m. sharp, giving her a healthy snack, supervising homework and, when there is time, having some fun before preparing and eating dinner and driving her to activities. We will, of course, provide dinner for you as well!
Some nights we may need you to pick up her hilarious (you'll see!) 5-year-old brother at his preschool nearby before it closes at 6.
We would also love (& pay additionally for) help running errands so that we have more time on weekends to do what we love most - spend time with our kids.
Home & schools near Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.
We look forward to speaking with you to discover if we might be a fit for each other. Please email me at mackaymccluskie@gmail.com with your experience and interest.

After-School Babysitter for Month of February
We are looking for an after-school sitter for our two daughters, ages 6 and 8 (first and third grades), for most Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 4pm-6/6:30pm, from February 6 to February 24 only.
We live in Arlington, about one block from the Ballston Metro station. The job will involve meeting the kids as they get off the school bus at 4pm sharp, helping them get a snack, supervising them while they play and get started on their homework, and heating up or preparing simple dinner food for them. Our kids love arts and crafts, and spend most of their time after school playing together or drawing pictures, etc. at home or, if the weather allows, riding scooters or bikes outside.
If you are only available on some of the days/weeks we need help, we would consider hiring different sitters for different days/weeks.
Our house is very close to the Ballston Metro station (about one block), so you can use the metro and do not need to have a car.
Please contact me at margaret.yavuz@gmail.com or 703-350-6075 if you are interested.
