We live less than a mile from the Marymount main campus. We have three children in Arlington Public Schools - rising 6th grader, rising 5th grader, and rising 2nd grader. We are interested in hiring someone to help the kids at our house during the Fall 2020 semester when they will be in school 2 days a week and have remote learning 2-3 days a week. Hello,
We would like to hire a tutor for our rising 2nd grader starting in the fall. We are looking for someone to work 2-3 days a week during the daytime hours. We are flexible! An ideal candidate would be a student majoring in early education and/or someone with experience in tutoring. This tutor would be working from lessons plans and supplement the curriculum of APS (Arlington Public Schools). In addition to being knowledgeable on core subjects (math, science, reading), someone interested in art, music, and/or languages would be a value to us. We seek a well-rounded (as best we can manage) curriculum for our son. Someone who incorporates “play” and creative techniques for lessons would also be an asset.
We live approximately 1 mile from Marymount University and would like to have the tutor work in our home. We are responsible and have been social distancing since March. We would like a tutor who is also social distancing and takes the same precautions. The start date would be in late August or early September 2020.
Salary is competitive and negotiable.
If you are interested in working with a sweet and energetic child while gaining valuable tutoring experience, please email pmwong1017@gmail.com.
Thank you!
Priscilla

Hi!
We are looking for an educator to help with our 2 elementary school-aged students while they are doing remote learning for the upcoming school year. This opportunity would be great for anyone still looking to have a teaching job but who is not placed in a school for the fall.
We have a rising 2nd and 3rd grader in the Arlington school system - Nottingham Elementary. We are currently signed up to be virtual 3 days/week but could go to 5 days.
I am hopeful that you would be able to build your resume by not just doing the virtual lesson that is set for each of my kids but also pushing them to do more educational/grade based learning outside of whatever their teachers assign so that they are engaged and learning beyond just the basics.
Please email or call with any questions or interest. Molly 703-967-1215 mollyfhall@gmail.com

We are looking for a tutor for 4-8 hours a week for our creative, clever 7-year-old daughter. We also know another family or two who may be interested.
We live less than a mile from the Ballston Metro and have been following social distancing and other health recommendations. We would like a tutor on-site at our home and the tutor must also follow health guidelines.
Our rising second-grader struggles a bit with writing/spelling and enjoys science, math, and reading. She is curious overall and likes social studies and culture/languages. The tutoring work would be supplementary/complementary to the Arlington Public School packets and learning subjects for second grade.
Our little girl is excited at the thought of someone coming to partner with her on schoolwork.
If you're interested, please contact Vicki at davesvicki@gmail.com

My family is seeking an in-home tutor for our boys - 7th grade and 4th grade - to assist with distance learning support. The boys are engaged in online learning, but would thrive with more structure, support around assignments and companionship. At least one parent will be home teleworking during the day. Our home is less than 1.5 miles from Marymount's Arlington campus and we are open to brainstorming the best format and hours for support based on your schedule. Ideal candidate has a passion for childhood education and experience with tutoring in math and language arts. Our family will also take health and wellness precautions very seriously. Arlington family of 5 seeks a nurturing, fun home teacher/education supervisor (what are we even calling this job?!) for our rising first grader.
School starts September 8 and runs 8:30-3 daily. Our bright, funny, delightfully weird son is enrolled at a private elementary school in DC. The school will be providing an entire day's worth of structured activity every day until in-person learning resumes, so we don't need someone to come up with lesson plans--just someone who likes kids and a general elementary school vibe to keep our son focused on Zoom classes and interested in offline work and play.
We have a wonderful full-time nanny who will be taking care of his siblings, so no traditional nannying work required. Early childhood education certification/training/experience a big plus, but not a requirement. Childcare experience definitely required.
Please reach out if interested, and include a resume: anna@neonliterary.com. Thank you! Anna Sproul-Latimer
